Do you ever watch a movie, read a book or hear a song and feel connected to it, like it is somehow strangely familiar?

Sarah's Key
Yesterday I finished my first book of 2011. Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay. It was such a beautiful and compelling book. I cried through at least three chapters. The story is a dual story about Sarah, a young girl in France in 1942 and Julia, a journalist in the present day. Julia, the journalist, starts researching the roundup of the Jews living in Paris, France in 1942. As Julia researches the roundup she discovers a link to Sarah and the story was just gripping. I couldn't put the book down. I read most of it all day yesterday. It was such a tragic story but at the same time it was beautiful. The past broke my heart and the present gave me hope. I know that we (my generation) can't really fathom what it was like to live during World War II and we don't seem to truly understand or empathize with what happened to the Jews during that time...but we have witnessed and lived through tragedies and wars and we still find hope. I highly recommend this book. It is a chick lit book so I know guys probably wouldn't want to read it but I hope you all get this book and enjoy it the way I did.
